Folkmanis Handpuppets
For over 30 years Folkmanis have been making engaging and award winning puppets. Having watched my own children play with puppets for some years now I believe a good puppet is an essential for every child to develop imagination, to build conversation skills and even in healing work. Puppets are often used in therapy with children - a child can tell a puppet problems and fears that it may not be able to verbalise with an adult directly. Folkmanis Puppets encourage love of the natural world and environmental conservation. Products are not individually packaged and the company recycles. The company headquarters is installing solar panels to reduce the corporate carbon footprint. Folkmanis donates puppets around the world, to be distributed among refugees, orphans and social workers. |
