Honeybee Toys is dedicated to helping teachers find good quality open-ended toys for kindergarten and classroom use. Many of our toy makers are inspired by the philosophy of Dr Rudolf Steiner, while the Selecta range draws inspiration from Maria Montessori. Although different from each other in practice, the Waldorf (Steiner-inspired) and Montessori teaching methods share important similarities. Both emphasize the use of natural materials, and both encourage a whole-child learning environments.
